A modestly priced wood kayak paddle, the Dryad is a full featured and quality-constructed.  It's all here: a powerful multi-laminate 7" x 18" spooned blade with hardwood sides and cast urethane tip guard, a comfortable ovalled shaft with stainless steel (won't corrode or bind) ferrule; even drip rings are included. The ferrule allows blades to be positioned 60º right hand control, unfeathered or 60º left hand. The Dryad provides all the benefits expected from a wooden paddle including tip-to-tip, fatigue-reducing flex and the unduplicated feel of wood--and at a reasonable weight.
