who care enough to help clean-up the Middle River!
Saturday, March 6th,
from 9 A.M. to 1 P.M. is the annual Broward
County Waterway Clean-up. Atlantic Coast Kayak Company
is offering half-price kayak rentals for those willing
to bring back at least one bag of trash, per person.
Bring cut-proof gloves, grabbers & other tools
to ensure a safe and effective clean-up. Get the plastic,
glass, metal and other man-made crap out of the water
before it gets out into the ocean or harms our manatees,
marine mammals, shoe birds, etc. Make a difference
and get a discount for a win-win! See details below

Kayak Rentals on the Middle River every Saturday &
Sunday in Wilton Manors, FL - 9 A.M. to 5 P.M. - Kayak
the Middle River Loop on a single or double kayak
for one hour or circumnavigate the "Island City"
in approximately 2.5 to 3 hours. Rest stops available
- bring a picnic!
The Richardson Estate, 1937 Wilton Drive,
Wilton Manors, FL has a beautiful launch for one of
the best urban paddling opportunities in the Fort
Lauderdale area. The Middle River is a 7.5 mile loop,
and features great views of homes, gardens, mangroves,
shore birds, and iguanas. Recently, our resident pair
of manatees have been sighted with their new baby.
Group discounts are available for parties of 6 or
more. Single kayaks are $15 per hour or $37 for up
to 4 hours; double kayaks are $23 per hour or $54
for up to 4 hours. Other launch times by appointment
for groups, only, by calling 954-781-0073 or 954-854-1014.
