Deerfield
Island, Deerfield Beach, FL
This trip combines very interesting paddling among
beautiful homes and yachts with a circumnavigation
of Deerfield Island. We’ll pass by some multi-million
dollar mansions and boats, then circle the island
once owned by the notorious gangster, Al Capone.
Today, the island is the home of osprey, iguanas,
butterflies and gopher tortoise.
We’ll circumnavigate the island and return to our
starting point via a different route.
Cost: $47 per
person including rental, friendly guide service and
refreshments, or $30 with your own boat and gear ($27
for VIPs w/their own kayak & gear).
Trip length: 3.5 miles
Half day trip: 10:00 AM. to approximately
1:00 p.m.
