Fisheating Creek, Palmdale, Florida
This
meandering creek is bordered by huge old Cypress and
cedar trees, and boasts some of the most beautiful scenery
in FL. Your professional guide will provide insight
into the secret lives of the creatures who call Fisheating
Creek home. We have seen swallow tailed kites, sand
hill cranes, wood storks, and a nice variety of herons
here. Of course, the creek is home to alligators, but
respect them and they will not bother you. The sound
bite on TV does not show their usual behavior - they
either ignore you or disappear under the water as we
pass by. It is exciting to observe them. Take a step
back in time and learn about these reptiles, plus turtles,
wading birds, hawks, cypress trees, spanish moss, etc.
Note: In the event of low water,
a back up location will be used. This river relies
on rainfall in its watershed, only.
