As the name implies, Rookery Bay is a bird watcher's
paradise. This estuary borders the 10,000 islands, so
we'll paddle through a maze of mangrove islands and
eventually across the bay. Species seen here include
Osprey, egrets, herons, roseate spoonbill, and dolphin.
This mangrove forest is almost pristine and is truly
beautiful, tranquil and makes you feel like an adventurer
in your own back yard.
Rookery Bay offers some of the best backcountry fishing
in the State of Florida, among the flats, oyster beds
and mangrove islands. Feel free to bring your fishing
rod & tackle (FL saltwater license required), and
try your hand at kayak fishing for 3 of the most sought
after game species of Snook, Redfish and Tarpon. This
hot trend is exciting, because you are so close to the
action! If you want to do your own thing while we tour,
pay $50 for your equipment rental, lunch & beverages
and meet us back at the launch at 2 P.M.

Cost: $78 per
person withsingle kayak rental, $60 per person in
a tandem kayak - must find your own paddling partner
and register together) - includes lunch and guide
service, or $35 with your own kayak and gear or $50
for self-guided fishing option with equipment rental,
lunch and beverage.
