Estuary Exploration: St. Lucie Estuary, Stuart, FL
We will paddle across the Indian River & through mangroves to reach a beautiful, uninhabited beach. This is St. Lucy Inlet State Park, and we may see Ospreys, Pelicans, Sand Pipers, and other aquatic birds. Upon arrival at the beach we'll take a swim or a walk on the beach, relax and have lunch. Our return is via a different route.

Estuaries provide important habitat for mangroves, baby fish, oysters, crabs, etc. It is a special experience to paddle among the mangrove islands, then arrive at the contrasting beach scene provided by the open ocean. Here, the foliage changes to sea grapes, sea oats and smaller plants that strive to keep the sand in place (if only for a little while). Paddle with Atlantic Coast Kayak's expert, naturalist guides and take your understanding of this unique environment to a higher level!

Cost: The cost is $78 withsingle kayak rental, lunch, guide service and beverages, or $60 per person in a double kayak (must find your own paddling partner and register together), or $35 with your own boat and gear.
