us for a guided tour of the lakes of Hollywood area.
You will enjoy the ambiance of pink and orange hues
on the shimmering waters. Our tour would not be complete
without venturing over to West Lake's mangrove area.
West Lake is a saltwater lake that feeds from the Intracoastal
Waterway. It is a hidden jewel of mangrove canals
and tunnels closed to powerboats. As we explore one
of the last pristine areas within the city, we will
see some unusual wildlife including birds, manatees,
crabs, and several varieties of fish. We
will enjoy bird watching and the sunset, then return
to our launch, much refreshed from the stress of hectic
life in South Florida. It is amazing what a guided kayak
tour in this little slice of nature can do for one's
outlook and attitude!
Cost: $47 per
person includes rental, guide service, appetizer,
and soft drink. $35 per person in a double kayak (must
find your own paddling partner and register together).
If you bring your own kayak and gear, your cost is
just $30, including refreshments.
